Fall Book Affair

WE’VE SCARED UP A TREAT!

The Gold Country Writers Fall Book Affair is set for October 26, 2013. Twelve local authors will be available to chat with the public, sign and sell their work from 1 pm to 4 pm at The Arts Building at 808 Lincoln Way in Auburn, California.

Throughout the afternoon authors will read from their work, poets will recite poetry and a storyteller will be on hand to tell. The theme of the afternoon is Halloween and many authors will dress in costumes appropriate to their genre.

Cindy Sample, Sacramento author of Dying for a Date and Dying for a Dance, will be signing her newest book Dying for a Daiquiri . Pat Grogan’s new children’s rhyming book The Enchanted Forest, available online, will have a sample download available. Mary Ellen Dempsey will chat with attendees about her newest book, High Heeled Trucker.

If you are a Halloween fan stop and talk to June Gillam. Her book House of Cuts has several gory scenes as it follows an unhappy butcher!

Other authors, in several different genres, who will be displaying their books are Susan Korn, Gail McGonigle, Phil Raynard, Andrea Buckroth, Joanne Butterfield, Suzanne Blaney, Jan Collins, and Skip Michael.
