June Gillam Wins Jack London Service Award

June Gillam, a member of the Gold Country Writers in Auburn, was awarded the Jack London Service Award by the California Writers Club in Oakland on July 24, 2017. The purpose of the award is to honor outstanding volunteer service by an individual in a CWC branch. Gillam was nominated by the president of the San Joaquin Valley Branch in Stockton. While an Auburn resident Gillam is an instructor at Delta College.
A member of the lead team of Gold Country Writers Gillam is author of three mystery/suspense books featuring nearby localities, House of Cuts, House of Dads, House of Eiri. She will be signing her novels at the Gold Country Fair, in Auburn, September 7-10 at the GCW booth in the Foundation Building.
