Shelley Wagner writes literary fiction with an interest in aligning her stories with historical events. She’s currently finishing work on her first novel, Saulies’ Big River. She’s an active Amherst Writers & Artists Affiliate with additional certification to lead groups for Veterans, War survivors, and others who suffer from PTSD. She owns The Write Workshops and leads groups privately, and for the El Dorado Hills Community Services District.
As a former college level English Instructor and Developmental Writing coach, Shelley taught English Composition and other courses for California State University East Bay, Ohlone College, and the Alameda Unified School District. She presented, ‘Let’s Write Poetry!’ for the Gold Country Writers speaker’s program in January 2022.
Shelley attended Squaw Valley Community of Writers on a scholarship for her literary fiction. She volunteers with Upwardly Global, San Francisco Writers Conference, and hosts the Rose Street Writers Meet-Up in Berkeley and online.
