Trudi York Gardner resides in Folsom CA. Her humor pieces and articles have appeared in The Chicago Tribune, The San Francisco Chronicle, The San Francisco Examiner, The Sacramento Bee, The Oregonian, Big Apple Parents Press, Washington Families, ParentGuide (NYC) and other newspapers and magazines. Two short stories were published in separate literary magazines and each won first prize in the magazines’ writing contests. Her humorous short story, “The Lights in the Window,” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, the American literary prize by Pushcart Press that honors the best poetry, short fiction and essays published in the small presses over the previous year.
