Read & Review

July 10 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT

Read and Review will meet Friday, July 10, at Depoe Bay Coffee Roasters, 893 High Street, Auburn. Please join us from 10 a.m.to noon.

We will be discussing two books:

Sidelined No Longer: The Untold Story of Women’s College Sports by Karen Rudolph, traces the rise of women’s college athletics through the experiences of early leaders, including Jean Cerra, a former Stephens instructor and coach. Karen used her book to highlight the “hidden figures” behind today’s explosion in women’s sports. Focusing on the stories of 11 women, including Cerra, Rudolph shares their struggles, triumphs, and the work it took to build college athletics, including the monumental passing of Title IX.

Exploring the Sacred Mystery: A Quest for the Divine, nonfiction by Mary Mohs, explores many subjects not often found in Christian literature, such as the history and application of the rosary, the miracles of the Eucharist, and how the Holy Spirit speaks to us through intuition and dreams.

All books chosen for the program are available for members to check-out in our GCW library and for purchase on Amazon.

Read and Review details can be found in our newsletter, The Dispatch.
