Kathleen Ward

Kathleen Ward grew up in a small town on the Erie Canal before moving to California. She worked her way through college abstracting articles on management and training for the Training and Development Alert. Following graduation from California State University Sacramento, she spent over 30 years writing and teaching writing, as well as editing several novels and memoirs for other authors. In 2019, she received an Honorable Mention in  Writer’s Digest’s 88th Annual Writing Competition (2019) for her short story, “Barbara.” She has also won several awards for her poetry and has been featured on the World Poetry Café radio program, broadcast to 110 countries worldwide.

In 2026, her first novel was published under the pen name Kaydee Landry: a Young Adult sci-fi/fantasy titled Discovery: Book One of the Tav-Yah Chronicles.
Kathleen is a long-time member of the Gold Country Writers of Auburn, CA, and the American Association of University Women.
