In this interview, Susan Korn talked about GCW’s Speaker Programs, Critique Groups, and Drop-in Critique. She spoke about friends she had made through GCW as well as how the group has inspired her.  She also talked about her books — including “Terror Highway 193″ and “The Brown Rabbit.”

Betsy talked about “faith” as basic trust in God, trying to live facing God in our relationships, as we grapple with the tough stuff in life, especially since the mandated virus lockdown. Her latest book, Tossed in Time: Steering by the Christian Seasons, gives a way to find our bearings in time not only year-round but also through each day and night.

Frank Nissen was interviewed by Jeaninne Kato on the ACTV program, “Staging the Third Act.”

Frank talked about his career in art. He worked in the animation field for forty years, doing visual and story development for projects that included “Pippi Longstockings,” as well as George Lucas’s “Droids” and “Ewoks” television series. He then spent fifteen years at Disney, doing story development for animated projects such as “Mulan” and “Tarzan.” Today, writing now occupies most of his energy.

View Tenement Museum Virtual Book Talk Video on Stitching A Life by Mary Helen Fein

The tenement Museum on New York City’s Lower East Side was an inspiration for Mary Helen Fein as she wrote her novel “Stitching A Life, An Immigration Story.” The book is about her grandmother’s coming to America in 1900, where she lived on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The book reflects the experience of a great many families who came to America around 1900 from Europe, and in particular those who fled antiSemitism.
