Gold Country Writers 100-Word Story Contest opens for submissions on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, and closes at midnight Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Gold Co Note this contest is concurrent with the Poetry Contest. The celebration for both contests will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Click here for Rules and Submission details.

The second Wednesday of each month is our Drop-in Critique. These events are in-person only. Members may bring up to five pages of their work, double spaced, to read and receive feedback.
